The website of the Urban Institute has the word “redlining” 2,900 times. 

The website of the National Association of Realtors has the word “redlining” 3,900 times. Remember, the National Association of Realtors fought against the 1968 Fair Housing Act but, at the same time, they supported the 1968 HUD Act and its Section 235 Program which subsidized lower-income and “urban” mortgages.

Both groups have been big supporters of “affordable” (higher-foreclosure) mortgages and they often use past redlining as a justification.
